BITS PILANI, a premier engineering college is popular for providing quality education to its students. Apart from this it is well known for its exciting computer life.
BITS PILANI campus is located in the remote village of Pilani in Rajasthan. Despite having such a remote location , the campus is so well equipped with all amenities , that the students seldom miss their city lives. Spread over an area of 1320 acres, the campus houses over 4500 students from all over India. There are 14 hostel buildings, the lecture theatre complex, sports grounds, a beautiful and well equipped library and many other buildings in the campus.
The professors are really good and helpful. They adopt innovative methods to make their subjects interesting. Each student at BITS is assigned a mentor professor with whom he/she can share any problem
In the first year, all students of all streams study the same subjects. This is done so that the students can study the various basics of all the streams to gain the interest in all the subjects.The students can then follow these interests in the following year through optional subject called electives.
There are a lot of clubs in BITS. These include NSS, coding club, robotics club, chess club, SOVESA club, among various others. The club recruitments begin in the second week of the first semester each year. Through these clubs students are able to meet like minded students and follow their interests.
Three main fests are held each year namely BOSM, OASIS and APOGEE. Each one is held with great pomp and show. Not only BITSians but students from other colleges also participate in these fests. These are the best times to make new friends and have fun.
