Co-curricular activities at Akshara are designed to develop social & intellectual skills , personality and character of our students.
The House system makes the conduct of these activites very exciting and competitive. Our parents participate as judges and have always appreciated the high quality of the student performances be it dance, song or debates.
As a pre- primary teacher, my focus is to help each child blossom by building his self-confidence along with social, emotional and physical development, not just through core education, but also through skill development.
We focus on overall development of each child taking his individual capabilities and growth level into consideration. We introduce him to a learning activity only when we feel he is ready for it and give him space to grow. We believe in making learning fun for each child.
I joined Akshara in 2016 as a Pre – primary teacher with great enthusiasm, looking forward to following my passion of being an educator. I have never felt so motivated and empowered to teach.Tthe joy of witnessing your students’ first-time experience of little things is beyond words – very rewarding.

The pre-primary section is the most vibrant block of our school buzzing with activities like storytelling, craft work, cooking, rhyme singing, music, dance and games. With so much going on, there is never a dull moment for the students nor for the teachers.

Working at Akshara has given me an opportunity to not only interact with the numerous intellectual budding minds in my Economics classes, but also to become a student myself again and learn from all the enriching discussions that take place in both classes XI and XII.

We offer Economics to both the students of Commerce and Humanities. Economics classes are enlivened with discussion on economic policies, reading of the economic times and open discussions and debates.The‘ Going beyond the curriculum’ approach is making our students nurture their talents, hone their skills and excel at understanding the world of economics in a different light, which is a wonderful experience to watch from the sidelines.

I joined Akshara as a passionate Chemistry teacher in 2013 and the institute gave me numerous opportunities to show case my talents and accept new challenges with greater competence and vigour. Akshara is a student’s haven’, where the Management and the teachers collaborate for the greater good of the school and the students. A student who joins Akshara may be Helium, an inert element, but will get metamorphosed into Caesium, the most reactive element – willing to take initiatives and endeavouring to accomplish them to perfection.
