Empowering Young Minds Beyond School Activity Program

At Akshara International School, we believe that learning extends far beyond the boundaries of traditional classrooms. Our Beyond School Activity Program (BSAP) is a curated platform that provides students with enriching opportunities to discover, nurture, and develop their innate talents through structured and professionally guided co-curricular pursuits.

Designed to complement our academic curriculum, BSAP aims to cultivate life skills, enhance creativity, build confidence, and encourage disciplined practice among students from Grades I to XII. The program is an essential part of our vision to foster well-rounded individuals who are future-ready, both in character and competence.

Diverse Offerings, Expert Associations

To ensure quality and specialization, Akshara has collaborated with reputed organizations that bring professional expertise and structured modules to our school environment. Our current associations include:

Torrins – School of Rock

In collaboration with Torrins, a globally renowned platform for music education, Akshara offers professional training in Western vocals, Guitar, Keyboard, and Drums. The program follows a structured music curriculum, integrates performance-based learning, and provides students with stage exposure, ensemble participation, and graded certifications. Torrins mentors not only teach techniques but also focus on musicality, discipline, and self-expression through music.

Naadroop – Institute of Performing Arts

Akshara International School proudly partners with Naadroop, a premier institute dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich tradition of Indian classical dance. Founded by Guru Smt. Shama Bhate, Naadroop brings decades of artistic excellence and pedagogical expertise to our students through structured training in Kathak.

Naadroop’s curriculum blends classical technique with creativity—focusing on rhythm (taal), expression (abhinaya), footwork (tatkaar), and storytelling. Students are guided by trained faculty who instill not just dance skills but also an appreciation for Indian heritage, discipline, and stagecraft.

With opportunities for performances, stage exposure, and progression through graded levels, Naadroop enables students to experience the joy of classical dance while building grace, confidence, and cultural grounding.

SOPA – School of Performing Arts

In collaboration with the School of Performing Arts (SOPA), Akshara International School offers students an immersive experience in Theatre Arts. SOPA’s professionally designed curriculum helps students build confidence, stage presence, expressive abilities, and vocal strength through structured theatre training.

From script reading and improvisation to movement, dialogue delivery, and live performance, students are guided by experienced theatre practitioners. Through regular rehearsals, in-school performances, and potential public showcases, SOPA encourages creativity, teamwork, and the power of storytelling—skills essential for both stage and life.
