At Akshara International School, our academic structure comprises Primary, Middle School, Secondary, and Senior Secondary sections. We are looking for dynamic and experienced Section In-Charges to lead the academic and administrative functioning of their respective sections and ensure high standards of teaching, learning, student wellbeing, and overall development.
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Master’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in the respective section of a reputed CBSE/ICSE/International school.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an academic leadership role such as Coordinator, In-Charge, or Team Leader will be preferred.
- For Senior Secondary, experience with CBSE Board classes will be preferred.
Additional Qualifications
- CTET qualification will be preferred.
- Sound knowledge of CBSE curriculum, assessment practices, NEP 2020, and current educational practices.
- Experience in curriculum planning, teacher mentoring, lesson observations, and academic monitoring.
- Knowledge of age-appropriate pedagogy and student development relevant to the respective section.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the academic and administrative functioning of the section, ensuring effective curriculum implementation, teaching quality, assessments, and student progress.
- Mentor and support teachers through classroom observations, feedback, professional development, and academic guidance.
- Monitor student attendance, discipline, wellbeing, and academic performance, and implement appropriate improvement measures.
- Coordinate with the Principal, Management, teachers, students, and parents regarding academic activities, examinations, events, and concerns.
