Workshop on CPR and Emergency Response

Akshara International School organized an informative and hands-on CPR and Emergency Response Workshop on 16 September 2025, conducted by Dr. Nayantara Das from the Emergency Ward of Manipal Hospital, along with her team.
The session began at 9:30 a.m. with a warm welcome and felicitation of Dr. Das and her team by our Principal Ma’am. This was followed by an engaging and highly educative session where Dr. Das explained the differences between respiratory arrest and cardiac arrest, the importance of timely intervention, and demonstrated how to perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and the Heimlich maneuver for choking cases in both adults and infants.
The workshop emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle and proactive response during emergencies. After the detailed explanation, teachers actively participated in the practical demonstration by performing CPR on dummies one by one under the guidance of the expert team.
The session was highly interactive, practical, and empowering. The clear instructions and real-time practice ensured that every participant felt confident in handling emergency situations. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Dr. Das and her team for their valuable time and guidance.
Overall, the workshop was a great success, equipping the teachers with life-saving skills and motivating them to adopt healthier lifestyle choices.
