Bridging Cultures: A Shared Journey

Culture is not taught—it is shared, experienced, and felt”

This philosophy came alive at Akshara International School during a transformative Cultural Exchange Programme that welcomed students and teachers from Japan as a part of Japan -Asia Youth Exchange program in Science. The programme, coordinated by DST Delhi and IISER Pune, was honored by the presence of distinguished dignitaries who facilitated these cross-cultural connections.

The day began with the Anapana Mindfulness Programme, reflecting Akshara’s commitment to holistic well-being. Cultural performances, guided school tours, and collaborative team-building activities followed, dissolving language barriers encouraging interaction, creativity and joy.
As Aksharites and Japanese students came together, they discovered that culture finds its truest expression in shared values, not merely in words.

This programe brought Akshara’s vision to life creating global citizens through lived experiences that celebrate diversity as strength.
