Parents Involvement<\/h4>\n

With this objective, the school plans Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) on Saturdays and the days are scheduled in the School Calendar.<\/p>\n

Teachers are available in the classrooms for interaction with the parents and no prior appointment is required on these days. The parents get to see their child\u2019s classwork and can discuss concerns, if any, with the teachers.<\/p>\n

The school is keen to continuously improve its overall program and the parents can share their suggestions in this regard with the teachers, administration or principal.<\/p>\n

Parents can also volunteer to be part of the school activities by filling in the Parent Volunteer Form in the School Diary. The body meets regularly to review the progress of the academic program, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The PTA members are invited as judges for various school events for them to get a first hand experience of the student activities.<\/p>\n

The PTA meeting minutes are circulated to all members and posted on the school notice board. It was a tough decision for us to send our son Chirag from Kolhapur to Pune for education after 10th standard at the tender and vulnerable age of 16. He was pampered, protected and dependent at home. Hello all, I am a proud parent of an Akshara International school alumnus.<\/p>

Akshara has given my daughter umpteen opportunities. She has flourished, learned and achieved plenty in Akshara.<\/p>

There were many challenges she faced when we had moved to India and learning Hindi was one of the most arduous ones. Nonetheless the teachers in Akshara made learning interesting.\u00a0 In Akshara the students are skillfully taught to learn the grammar and encouraged to focus first on communicative usage of language. She was unobtrusively instructed in the class so that she felt at ease and could speak the language fluently. I can\u2019t imagine a more effective way of teaching to make a student study.\u00a0\u00a0I am indebted to all teachers and staff at Akshara for all the support, love and care showered on my daughter.<\/p>

Even after returning to the USA whenever we needed any transcripts or recommendation letters, Akshara admin and teachers promptly helped by forwarding and completing any paperwork needed from their side. As a result we could take admissions easily in high school for a year and for an undergraduate degree the subsequent year.\u00a0 We are extremely grateful and truly appreciate all the efforts, encouragement and support by each and everyone at Akshara, especially for making her transition from the USA to India and India to the USA very smooth.<\/p>

In 2020 when Schools were closed, it was indeed a very difficult time for all of us but the school & teachers ensured that learning didn\u2019t stop. It is very difficult to teach such small kids online. However all the teachers made sure that each kid got proper attention and the learning was smooth.

I really appreciate the fact that focus was not just on finishing the syllabus but also on ensuring that each kid was learning properly. The kids were also enjoying the co-curricular activities which were taking place along with the main subjects. It made them look forward to the classes. Now after 2 years we are back to offline mode of education. Akshara has resumed classes in these ‘new normal’ times while also prioritising face to face learning as students have missed on that the most.<\/p>
